WHAT DOES RENEWABLE AIR CONDITIONING CONSIST ON?
It’s an air conditioning system in which we use renewable energy to air conditioning in a more natural and sustainable way.
ADVANTAGES
- We can reduce consumption up to 90%.
- We climate sustainably without polluting, reducing the emission of CO2 in the atmosphere.
- More natural and healthy air conditioning using water as an energy transmission element.
- Healthy, as there is a control of air quality, oxygen level, pollens, mites….
It’s the most similar to the air conditioning that nature offers us, such as the pure air of the mountains and the sea breeze in summer.
One of the technologies that supports renewable air conditioning is aerothermal.
In the air conditioning sector, aerothermal energy is basically a technology that mainly uses energy from the air to heat spaces. In general, it is considered as a highly efficient and clean energy source. Its main uses are air conditioning (both air conditioning and heating) and the production of domestic hot water.
Aerothermal machines have a very high-performance COP (coefficient of performance), around 4 or 5 depending on the manufacturer. What does this mean? It means that for each kW / h of electricity consumed with this type of equipment, 4 or 5 kW / h can be generated
It draws ambient energy from the air temperature, even below freezing, and transfers it to the room or running water. Therefore, 77% of the energy generated is free. This is achieved through the thermodynamic cycle that uses a compressed refrigerant gas at very low temperatures to extract heat from the outside air.
In a good renewable air conditioning system, an efficient ventilation system should not be missing. It is what we call a heat recovery ventilation system
It is based on a system that allows heat to be transferred from the volume of air extracted from the interior of the conditioned space to the intake air that enters from the outside without conditioning.
Therefore, it serves to pretreat the outdoor air by reusing the residual heat from the air that is extracted from a heat recovery system, which allows a balance to be struck between the need to guarantee the quality of indoor air and the reduction of energy consumption in buildings, which suffer heat losses due to ventilation, which can account for up to 46% of air renewal. A building that does not have them, inevitably results in a heat exchange between the interior and the exterior and therefore in a loss of energy.
The equipment connects the interior air that is extracted, with that of the exterior that is introduced, through an exchanger that prevents the two from mixing The temperature and humidity of the indoor air are used to heat the incoming air flow, which is also passed through filters that collect any harmful particles. In this way, the interior air of the house is constantly renewed without losing energy when heating it.
